Yeah, that is one thing i have noticed with our cars as well...The paint jobs from the factory suck! My truck has 140K miles on it and the paint is still in awesome shape. My G has 80K miles on it and has swirle marks, holograms, scratches and everything else....

GRR!

Yup...hate the paint used these days. Get those brown spots too. Mine come off with some polish/cleaner then re-protect with wax.

Wonder how that new self repairing paint is that infiniti came out with on the 07's. Seems that would be even softer, being it's susposeed to self fix small nicks, etc.

My front end looks like it's seen 100K miles driving through a gravel pit and I have less than 15K on mine and only 1 yr old.

not to jack the thread but does anybody else wax their windows then go drive in the rain without winshield wipers haha. Its kinda fun to just watch the rain fly off the car.

oh and yea, a few good coats of wax on your car pretty much everything just wipes right off. try a clay bar

i know for light pollen you use claybar iono why you are gettin circle marks tho :-\

if its water marks it should come out with vinegar

whenever i detail my car theres like a bunch of steps i do and rubbing vinegar all over my car would be one of them then just wash it off and wash it with soft carwash soap

I dont see how you got cheap out of that statement. He was just implying how cool it is too watch the water run off while driving. I do the same thing except for when Im driving slow

took off my wipers a couple years back....windshield is super clear when it rains.. few layers of rain-x works great

btw:to remove stains from your paint use meguiars #80. works great. follow that with glaze then wax.....i use poorboy's glaze and meguiars #16 wax...

those that complain about the cheap paint that has a lot of swirls or what not, needs to know how to take care of their paint. ...nissan paint is cheap because it chips easily

Ivory Pearl here, and if I get any dropping and immediately take it off with a freshly waxed finish, it will leave the same yellow stain that is discussed. It is next to impossible to remove it completely, even if addressed right away. It is a known fact that the paint on the G35 is and has always been crap. The front bumper chips like no other car known, and the paint is almost porous. Infiniti knows about it, and will in certain curcumstances even repaint front bumpers etc. Laser Red is the weakest of all the colors. It is just one of those weak aspects of our cars we need to live with along with the brakes and tires. The car is still a big bang for the buck and all cars have issues.
