Little sh!thead punks................
Wow, $1K for a windshield! If this had happened to me
I would be headed to my insurance company the next
day.......that's why we pay those premiums. With my
insurance company a windshield is a no-fault accident. Just tell them a rock flew off a construction
vehicle.....that should close the books on your
situation.....LOL

I just got back from the police station near where it happened and reported it. I don't get how he said this is the first of this kind of incident to happen in the neighborhood.
Upon going home, I noticed little dents on the side of my passenger fender and its getting me more fustrated. I called my insurance and I have a $500 deductable. They'll still pay for everything at least from my understanding since its more than $500 right? I'm still WTF at the price tag of $1000 and I'm still iffy about going to other shops to get my car fixed. My car is still practically a baby, damn.
I did try looking for the punk *** kids. I had no luck by the time I made a U-turn. The police is looking into the area hopefully since I filed the report within 24 hours.
Then to top this off, my first car that I got is in the shop as well. The suspension on my Honda is messed up and the bearings, calipers, brake pads, basically the whole brake system in the front has to be replaced. I don't even want to drive my G in this condition, especially its Halloween. I'm not liking this week so far man...damn..

You might want to call your ins. and tell them the window and fender is damaged from the incident, tell them you have a police report and it should be considered vandalizm, which is under comp. on your ins. It's not liability since it wasn't an accident. You should be able to take the car were you choose and pay only the $500. deduct. That way you could take it to the dealer, (do they have a body shop?) have everything fixed with you having piece of mind it's done right, and probably get a loaner through the dealer also. Just a suggestion, but worth looking into.

I feel your pain
I just had my windshield replaced along with some body work done. Safelite quoted me $440 to replace it using a after market windshield and $850 using infiniti glass. Luckily my damages were covered by a special warranty I got when leasing my car so I ended up going with the infiniti glass. $1k seems a little high, I would def check around with some local shops.
Best of luck and Happy Birthday!

I filed a police report yesterday guys. The cop looked at my car and he said it did look like someone did use a metal bb gun on my car and they'll actually look into the area. I called my Insurance up and they said they'll cover it for the most part. I still can't find those kids though.
I kinda opted to get the Infiniti windshield, my car is still brand new as hell; I don't wanna put anything else. I know there's other places that can do it, but if my insurance is paying for it cause it was known as vandalism, I'll just stick to the Infiniti windshield. I'm still wondering how I got some dents on my passenger fender though. That's pissing me off still.
