debating the road i wanna take with my car this winter and i was curious if anyone has modified their car N/A and dyno'd over 300rwhp? Or the highest N/A dyno and 1/4 time possible w/out internals. and what were the mods?.. thanks guys

Sure.

Ask ISMSOLUTIONS, aka, Rick.

he has done it, but the cost is ridiculous for all the internal engine work you have to do. It would be AT LEAST 3-4k cheaper to Vortech the thing and call it a day.

ya thats what im tryin to figure out.. i was thinking F/I but if i can slowly build it N/A and be cheaper then F/I and hit 300rwhp w/out internal work id go that route cause id be happy with 300rwhp.. dont get me wrong id love sick blower or turbo but would rather not spend that kind of money! we'll see how it works out!

but it would be pointless to do so if it costs much less to go F/I and have more HP

Just PM ISMSOLUTIONS....very helpful guy, he will break it down for you and "show you the light"

P.S. he is running a Vortech right now, so that should tell you the answer

I guess that is the main reason that people are going F/I rather than getting 10whp for every mod they do.

300WHP NA is my goal. Ive got plans in the future to get a chip and headers whenever FI releases their headers. After that, new cams. Thats about $3600 with parts and labor, with those parts in addition to my current ones, I should hit 300

w/ all that and your current mods ure already well over $5k. and hoping for 300rwhp. for that price u can supercharge and be well over 350 rwhp.. this is my point. for ME, i would rather have the blower for the same amount and much more hp! its cool to say u have 300rwhp N/A.. but i wouldnt do it unless it was much cheaper!!! and it doesnt seem like it is

it all depends on what you eventually want out of the car. You can slowly build the car N/A (all the bolt ons, then move onto internals) until you can save up enough to safely boost assuming you're going turbo.

^+1. Exactly. Id rather have 300NA to the wheels than a turbo or supercharger. No turbo lag for me

JMO, having a boosted car is great, but harder to take care, especially if its daily driven. Only my 2cents.

trust me i def would too.. thats ideal. but the $$ just doesnt make sense to do that. i would rather spend the same amount of money to make almost 100 more hp. plus i love the sound and pull of F/I. especially on the highway where most run ins happen, if i could chose it would prob be turbo but we'll see how the finances go.

I say don't waste the money building your engine if your not going to go F/I.
