possibility of increasing redline ?
is it possible to get another 500rpm to 1,000 rpm out of the rev-up engine via ecu-reflash w/o internal engine mods?

there are available ecu reflashes for the non rev-up engines that raise the rev limiter to 7100. thats roughly about a 500 +/- rpm increase from stock. so, why cant the rev-ups get another 500 bump as well. valve train cant handle another 5-600 rpm? whats the deal?

valve float? I certainly haven't floated my valves. I, TS ECU, and many 5AT Vortechs have raised our redlines from 6600 to 7100. I haven't heard of one case of anyone floating their valves under boost or NA. I would think the rev-up heads are much stronger than the non-rev ups, but I wouldn't raise the redline unless I was making power. I got mine raised, because with the SC the revs comes up too fast. I believe hitting the rev limiter under boost is more dangerous than over revving, although I try to shift at 6800 rpm.
