What does the display say?

Is it completely dead?

I have'nt heard of this disc's jamming in the unit but I have heard a lot of complaints in regards to the BOSE head units.
Fortunatly you have a 05'-06' model year and most likely you will have this issue covered by warranty.
Mine works fine and at this point my strategy is to limit the mechanical operation of the system. What I mean by that is that I try not to load & unload too many disc's in there on a frequent basis thereby decreasing the risk of mechanical failure. I also try and limit the frequency of the multi disc shuffle ode where you can have random tracks be played from any of the 6 disc's that are in there. Everytime I hear the disc's shuffling around in there I get paranoid that if I overuse it i'm gonna break it.

Probably a good strategy but one would hope that with a car of that price you would have peace of mind to use the radio's functions as mcuh as you feel like it.

When you go to play the cd, does it come up with CD Error on the display or it says nothing.

Does any of the CDs currently trapped inside the player have a "roll your own" self-adhesive label? These things can come unstuck and really screw up the internal mechanism. If that's what happened, it'll be your nickel for the fix regardless of whether your vehicle's still in warranty.

This is a very common problem with are head units. Mine is just starting to skip on a few of my cds that have NO scratches on them what so ever.

Ill be paying the dealership a visit in the near future. Hopefully i won't get any hassle when the time comes.
