Hey guys, I was in a car accident yesterday afternoon, I spent the night in the emergency room with a Fractured skull and bruised spine, they ran 3 cat scans on my brain, neck, and spine, everything is looking good, unfortuantly my car is totaled. I took off from a red light and felt the car slidding back and forth(NOTE: it was raining hard, when i shifted to 2nd gear the car lost control and did a 360 with heavy traffic, i ended up slamming into a park car on the other side of the direction i was heading. The whole passenger side is crushed, I was doing about 25mph and the impact was so hard that my daughter's baby seat flew from the back passenger side to the back driver side. Im just glad my daughter wasnt in the car and that I made it out ok! I will post pix ASAP! I'm do dissapointed that I couldnt control my car well enough and after 2 1/2 years of owning my beautiful fully loaded 2004 IP coupe, she's finally gone. Here's a Pic of what my car looked like -

Sorry your car is a total loss. I'm glad that you are not seriously injured.
What are you thinking of replacing your G with?

first off, glad to hear you are ok and that your daughter was not in the car!

it sounds like you got seriously injured and things could have been a lot worse- but all of that from a 25mph collision? even if you run into a solid concrete barrier, head on, at 25mph, i wouldnt think that you'd be left with a fractured skull and spine in this car? but you hit a car, and it seems you hit more on the passenger side too also, was the child seat not locked in or did the restraint system fail under a 25mph collision? (or do they not lock in without a child? im not familiar with how they work as i have no child)

im not doubting your story, just trying to understand what happened and how safe our cars are. once again i am glad to hear you are ok.

they took lots of x-rays saying my skull was fractured but they werent a 100% accurate, so thats why they took more cat skans and told me that everything looked alright and relased me. As for the child seat, its always buckled down and i have no idea why it came loose, I spun out and hit the car with my rear quarter panel, as of right now, i have to wear a neck brace and take pain killers and all sorts of meds. I think i could have gone faster maybe about 30-45mph...i will get pix asap as promised.

as for my next car- im thinking about an 07 Coupe,E46 M3,or the nex Gen GS430.

Glad you are ok and thanks for clearing the fracture part up. Another question for you though. Why is your child seat in your front passenger seat? That is totally illegal unless you can turn the airbags off.

d@mn, glad to hear you are okay and that your daughter was not in the car! Take it easy though, even though they said your all good to go, you should go back and have more testing done to make sure they didn't miss anything
