Quantum tint - GPS - Siruis

Quick quetions. I heard that Quantum tint is not so good for GPS...but don't 04 couples have GPS antena in front? So that shouldnt effect it, right? But what about Sirius radio - I have antenna installed on back of the roof, near rear window. WIll taht effect the signal? (don't really care since subscription will be running out at the end of the year and not gonna renew..but since i still have month+ of service, would like to hear an answer)

Thanks

from what i've heard if you get a metallic base tint you may have trouble with GPS/navi IF your antenna is outside the car, but with most aftermarket navi setups your antenna is inside so it will not make a difference. ceramic tint is a good alternative if you have stock navi. i've never heard of quantum tint, but i hope the above mentioned helps.

Only problem with metallic based tint is if the gps antenna is in the interior rear deck because you'll tint rear windows and block some of the signal. From what I heard on the g it's in the front. Anyways I have a metallic based tint,my radio and navi work fine.

if your antenna is on your roof i'd go with ceramic just to be on the safe side, you could try the same question in audio forum, someone with sirius is bound to have tinted their windows

I got a metallic tint and have not experienced any problems with my GPS. The metallic tint, however, does seems to have a subtle effect on radio reception, more so AM than FM.
