F&^%%$ up Stillen Intake

OK I am an idiot.
I was installing the stillen intake.......and I didnt read the directions completely because I tried to attached the MAF sensor directly to the metal ring (instead of through the housing).....I was tightening the bolts and one of them broke off in the stillen ring. I freaked of course...... so I reattached the stock air box with 3 bolts and installed the 350 duct.
Do ya think I could get another bolt from the dealer and drill out the busted bolt from the stillen????
The check engine light hasnt come on but I know I need another bolt, esp to get the stillen on. My biggest concern is the busted bolt in the venturi ring....
Comments?? Concerns??

Try using needle nose vice grips and turn the broken bolt. If it's deep in the metal, you will have to drill the bolt out and use a tap on the threads. Finding that bolt shouldn't be a problem.

Take it to a machine shop and have it drille dout. Should not ost very much. Then go to the dealer and get another bolt (a buck or so probably).

The bolt is available just about any hardware store. The broken bolt can be easily taken out with a drill bit call "easy off". It's a reverse thread drill bit that you can buy at any Sears or hardware store. It cost about $2 really cheap. It comes in different sizes so just make sure you get the correct one.

"Easy off" is the oven cleaner. What you want is an "Easy Out" To use one, you must first drill a small hole in the center of the bolt, (as big as you can without damaging the threads), then insert the easy-out; counter threading it in.

Before you try this, you might try to turn the remaing bolt loose with pliers, (as sugested already), or sometimes you can use an awl and hammer on the edge of the broken bolt to turn it.

Re: F&^%%$ up Stillen Intake

Thanks for all the tips!!!
The bolt had broken of flush with the venturi ring so there was no chance of turning with an punch and hammer,,
I ended up having to drill the bolt out completely (PITA!!) then I used a tap and die set to set new threads.
