Quick question on engine covers...

I hear alot of people arguing about removing their engine covers, for instance on the topic of "Spacers" or "Intakes". Whats the big deal about removing engine covers? Do you lose anything by it? I mean c'mon, at the most it takes 2 minutes to put back on..

nope there isn't any difference at all in why people do it. some say it keeps the engine cooler and some more air flow but it doesn't really help

Matter of personal taste, imho.
I personally don't like that big plastic thing. I like to see what's under the hood (the engine) rather than a big plastic cover.
I run without one and have had no ill effects what-so-ever.

It does keep the engine cooler, but floods the engine bay with more heat in return. not that, that really helps tho. but that is what it does.

No it doesn't!! Mechanically ther are no benefits of engine covers. haha, who would think a piece of plastic would keep the engine cool? If anything it traps heat in.

Just choose based on looks, because that's the only difference you will ever feel
