Yes, you should be able to do this. The stut bars I have seen actually do not go over the plenum, they are engineered to go around the front of it. Also if you go with the 1/2 spacer you can not use the engine cover. I have the 3/8 and my cover rubs a little bit on the hood. Many people take the cover off because it may restrict the evacuation of heat.

yes i already have my cover off, its pointless to have it on, whats the use of an engine if you cannot see it.

...should be able to - I've got the 1/2 Skunk2 spacer, and my ARC STB fits perfectly; no engine cover, though.

MotorDynes finest..........

The first answer to your post was correct. If you
install the current strut bar available it mounts in
front of the plem so clearance isn't an issue.

You can get the 3/8" and be fine with the cover. I have one very small spot that rubs the hood the size of a nickle. I am taking the cover off again soon. I moved and didn't want the cover packed away so I put it where it belongs for now.

It stiffens up the body a lot more so that the car doesn't flex as much. You would be surprised at how much different the car feels with a strut bar. You can also do a rear strut bar.
