Car is acting up.

My girlfriend was driving home yesterday and all of a sudden the slip light, vdc light and check engine light go on. The power steering turns off and the gas pedal just goes dead. She restarted the car and everything turned back on but the check engine light is still on. She managed to get home and we have an appointment with the dealer on saturday. Has any one had this happed to them? And by the way her car is a 2005 6mt? Any thoughts people.......

I'd seriously have the dealership look at it sooner than Saturday unless your gf doesn't expect to drive it til then. Wouldn't want the car to stall in the middle of a busy highway.

I've read of other members G's stalling. You can try a search but highly doubt you'll find anything. Just wait til the dealers runs a diagnostic on it.

She works all week and the car is pretty much a weekend vehicle so thats not a problem. What worries me is that I installed an Injen COI on it a year ago and they might say its because of that.

Sounds to me like it might be the throttle body.

They are other threads on this happening to others in the forum

You should drop it off for emergency service claiming that you feel unsafe in the car. They will take it first before any other vehicle.

You may want to take the CAI off before taking it in.

The car was at the dealership before with the COI so they already know about it, I guess we will just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. Thanks for all your answers guys. I will let you know what happens later.

dude the same thing happened to me yesterday. I went to pick up my car after having some warranty work done on it, and as im leaving the service bay that exact same thing happened to me. so i just rolled it back into the bay and the guy says that this isnt an uncommon problem. He said it was the throttle body. So he changed it in like 45min under warranty and i was outta there. Oh and yeah you might want to take that CAI off before taking it in cause theyll take advantage of you if you dont. I took mine off before i took mine it to them so there was no problem.

But the intake has been there for over a year and no problems until now. I guess I will take the intake off just to see what happens.

Im convinced its the throttle body, right now the question is if I want to take the time to take the intake off in the middle of the night. But I guess this is what you have to do if you want the sound of an intake under the hood.
