third gear 5at

Why does third gear on my 5at feel slow? I thought that the G was supposed to pull hard in third. Whenever i race quick cars i usually pull them in first and second gear then in third they seem to get back up next to me and it feels like its not pulling hard anymore.

Last time I took my car to the track, I noticed that my 3rd gear pulled pretty hard. I wonder why it seems that we've all had different experiences, considering our transmissions are exactly the same... hmmm... You are talking about manumatic mode, right?

Pull Hard, is that something like stepping on the gas hard? I guess i havent noticed i think about the environment and how i would be wasting gas for no reason. Oh then i realize i have a motorcycle which makes speeding/accelerating in the car seem pointless.

How about this. Go hop in a civic stomp the gas in third. Get in your G and stomp the gas in 3rd. Maybe you'll appreciate it a little more

Just a side question, when you're at the 3rd gear, how fast can you go before you hit redline and the rev limiter kicks in? For myself, I can go till 125-130km/h then I have to switch to 4th. At 4th, it's slow mo and even cavalier's can catch up with me.
