Im going to get the Intimidator system on my car on Saturday. Ill let Tony listen to the noise while Im there when I still have the Injen system on. Wonder if the noise will go away when I get the FI system on?

Ill post results and his words on Sunday.

yea....still got it. Im definately doing a sound clip this weekend. Ive just learned to keep it in neutral when driving thru outdoor malls. I cant profile when my ride is buzzing/rattling.

theres nothing I can do about it. Just gotta live with it, I guess.

hey guys

quick question.

i just installed my HFC F/I cats on my sedan. everything bolted up just right.

I got two gaskets for the midpipe which I installed. one bolt/stud was permanentely attached to the header, so I left that alone and installed the stock fastener w/ F/I's stainless washer.

anyways. I checked and found no leaks at idle. also, It is cold outside and I only see smoke coming from the exhaust pipe so I guess there are no leakes.

Ok, so Iam sure this is normal, but I got plenty of smoke, the car stinks a bit and I got some rasp. these will go away after a couple days of driving right?

anyways the system looks good and the stainless cats themselves look gorgeous. great build quality

yeh i was scared as fvck when the smoking started. rev it up a few times and take a drive around the city. my smoke was gone in about 15-20 minutes. this is normal. just burning off all that crap inside.

yea, i thought the smoke was normal - its just the rasp that is awkward.

anyways, after driving around for some time, most of the rasp went away.

maybe the rasp had something to do with all the crap inside that burnt to smoke

the ceramic cats also have this problem. extreme4377 has 400 cell fast intention ceramic cats and has reported this problem as well. ive heard it in person and it's the same as my metallic cats.
