As you guys said, most Lightnings arent stock, but very few are modded beyone the basic first $3-5k in mods. Yes, theyre fast, but you have to take into consideration the fact that its a flying brick, with terrible traction (I've owned 2 supercharged trucks, neither factory, and neither even with bars and upgraded suspension could hook worth a damn.) If your racing a lightning from a stop, its gonna win, unless they get stupid and roast half the tires away (which doesnt take much do to in a s/c brick). I ate 3 sets of tires in my first year of owning a s/c S-10 (vortech unit) and that wasnt even drag racing it.

If your gonna go for a roll, I'm sorry, flame away, tell me I'm an idiot, but trucks just die at 90-110, relatively speaking. Theres only so fast a giant brick can get up speed over 110, even s/c and tuned, my s10 felt like **** over 110. If your gonna race (at that speed) well, its your funeral, but even still, I'd say a G with light mods could pull on an "average" lightning at high speed, but, as mentioned, most lightnings cut out at 120.

From personal experience, I raced a high 12 second lightning a few times when I used to live back on the east coast. I took 2 to 100, he took one. It all depends on how well you can hook the tires up on the lightning. Theyre big trucks, but still, have very little weight over the rears (it takes 2 people to lift the bed off the truck, you do the math on the weight of them lol).

Just remember, you can put a retard in the fastest car in the world and beat it with a 18 second 1989 Civic DX. Racing is sometimes way more about the driver than some of us tend to admit.
