b/c our cars are rear wheels drive when you turn there has to be something that makes up for the physics of one wheel turning faster than the other. it doesn't make a difference with the fronts b/c they are independent of each other, but the rears are tied together through the axle and you can't have one that turns faster that the other, but physics says that's the law and there's no way around it. the lsd lets one wheel "slip" when turning so it takes care of the issue. :2 cents:
i hope this make sense.
what? a limitied slip limits the amount one wheel can turn faster than the other. I.E. when you're gettin on the gas out of a turn, more power will go to one wheel vs. the other. With an LSD you get more equal power distribution.

yeah, important thing to pay attention to is in different situations, how the different colored pieces move with relation to one another, as opposed to the whole picture

The VLSD sucks, or else is worn out on my car. It turns into a one wheel wonder when I try and get it sideways.
