Re: MM shifting
Can't tell you how to shift, but keep your foot on the gas in that mode. Would probably be best to change gears about a second before you normally would in a manual since it's really not instantaneous.
I've read this in other places...do not use it to slow down aka downshift, especially if someone is behind you. Chances are, they will not see any brakelights (since you're not braking) and they could end up slamming into your rear.
Have fun.

Re: MM shifting
one second is way over exaggerating... usually 1st to 2nd, it takes 400rpm to shift..e.i when you tap at 3k it will shift to 2nd at around 3400rpm...2nd to 3rd is faster than 1st to 2nd,...and 3rd to 4th is faster than 2nd to 3rd... and 4th to 5th is almost no delay... so basically, unless you are shifting 1st to 2nd, just tap it whatever rpm you want to switch at... it will shift it very quick... some people think it takes way too long to switch gears then try this... as soon as you tap it, use your mind to engage clutch/out gas pedal, shift to next gear and let go off clutch... i bet AT tranny done shifting way b4 you finish your mind...

Re: MM shifting
Being that your coupe is new, I'm assuming that you are still in the break-in period? IMO, I would keep the RPM's low, while in MM, and upshift it no higher than 25 to 28K on the tach. The best part is, there is no need to let off of the throttle.

Re: MM shifting
oh yeah one more thing, during break in period, D mode shifts a lot faster than MM mode... and don't use MM mode during break in period... and last thing, MM mode will shift faster slowly time by time not just going slow to fast right after break in period... i think most people get fully break in at around 5k miles.. and almost everybody run a lot faster after they reach 5k compare to <5k miles...

Re: MM shifting
I like using MM during my break in period, I shift around 3500 rpm's so as not to go to much over 4k rpm's. I am only at 400 miles on my car now and am getting impatient to let her loose. I must admit I have let her loose a cpl times already and got her around 5500 - 6000 rpms what a kick in the A$$ she is. I hit higher rpms actually in Auto "D" when I floor it. I have much more control in MM over the rpms than in "D".

Re: MM shifting
I don't know what all this people are talking about.......it's really simple. Floor the damn thing til you hit the rev limiter then shift do this all the way til you hit 5th gear. See what kind of fun you'll have.....
........of course you know I'm just kidding.
