Service Engine Soon light is on....

I searched around a little bit and found little information. My service engine soon light came on today and im wondering what it could be...? Obviously it can not be anything to serious or else i believe the check engine light would come on, right? My driver side tire is low, but im not sure if i have TPS. I have a 5AT 2003 coupe...not sure if it has TPS on it. I changed my oil yesterday everything was fine and then it came on today after i drove almost all day. I also heard it could be that the brakes need replaced, my brakes do need to be replaced, but idk if this is it?

Any input would be nice...

Service Engine Soon Light

My Service Engine Soon light came on too. After reading some posts I went and checked my gas cap. That was it. Tightened the cap and the light went out in a day. Good luck.

If tightening your gas cap doesn't work, take it into the dealer asap. The same thing happened to me last week and I took it to the dealer. Got a new TPS installed under warranty and all is well...

Ok i do not have the navigation system, so i do not have the TPS. I filled the gas tank up yesterday, but the light came on yesterday way after i filled up the tank....wouldnt it have came on right when i drove off from the gas station if the cap wasnt tight.

TPS wont cause a check engine light to come on. A loose gas cap will cause it to come on. Not all 03s have tire pressure sensors either. All 06s do wether its base or not.

yea my tps has been on for a while now ( over a month)...just recently my car started making some bad noise...which ive come to realize is the clutch rattle that our cars get from day one only ampliefied by 10...i really think this is the throwout bearing or the pressure plate...im bringing it in monday for service. Anyway yesterday on my ride home my check engine went on as well, im assuming it has to do with this problem but im not possitive.

By "TPS" I mean Throttle Position Sensor---not Tire Pressure Sensor. Didn't you get that memo about your TPS Reports?
