Coupe with snow tires....

I'm from Mass too and I highly recommend getting a second vehicle if you can swing it without breaking the bank.
I bought a 4x4 Tacoma for driving in snow mainly.. but I basicly drive it anytime it rains too, so that the G35 only gets to see nice weather days and the truck still gets regular use throughout the year.
To tell you the truth.. the truck has really grown on me and I love the thing because, although slow, it makes me appreciate the good qualities of the G35 even more when I switch back and forth between the 2 vehicles. With the truck, you can drive through fields with literally 14+ inches of untouched snow without any problem on stock tires, park at Wal-Mart without worrying about dents, and the thing is like invinceable... plus it's probably one of the easiest vehicles I've ever owned for doing maintenance on and gets 23+ MPG even with my new 32's on it. Plus you've got to appreciate the fact that it's got a Cast Iron block, with a forged crank and connecting rods, plus a timing chain... a recipe for longevity. Hell... Get a Tacoma!

The G35c with winter tires will do great even in the worst snow storm, as long as the roads are plowed. Since you said you need to get to work no matter what, you need to consider our low suspension in high, unplowed snow, which might not be possible. I have winter tires and last year in the big snow storm, I just waited for the road to be plowed, and I took the G out, and had a blast. If you have winter tires and use common sense the winter is nothing for the G . Oh, and I found a set of used stock 18s with winter rubbers for less than $800 on this forum. Search and you will find.
