Question **Need your Help, you won't believe what the dealership asked for!!

Hey Guys!

I need everyone's help on this one.

I went to the dealership to order a part. The part is a unusal part, but non-the-less, a part that is offered for our Coupes.

I believe I've heard it referenced before as the "Instrument Belt Line".

Some coupes came with a black one (like mine) or a SILVER one that matched the rest of the interior's silver.

I have an 2003, so it's the Painted Silver and not the 'Brush Aluminum' look like the older models.

Anyways, the parts guys said to give them my VIN # so they could look it up, which didn't make a bit of sense to me, since my Vin number will only show what parts ('options') came with my car, and since it's not on my car then,,,duh!!

They (parts guys) could not find this part for me and literally told me to look for a 2003 that had the Belt Line and write down the VIN # off that car so they could do there job and find the part.

Does ANYONE have the part number for this part?

It should be (2) parts, b/c it's one long piece on the right side of the driver seat running the length all the way to the glove box. The other piece is a short strip above the drivers side (to the left of you when driving) vent. The dealer told me that part might come attached to the entire driver's side vent...surely not??

Anyways, does anyone have a .02 on this situation? I've included a picture to help everyone see what part I'm looking for...

Thanks guys,
-WoW

I would show you the picture, but it will not allow me to.

It's basically the THIN Strip of plastic right in-between the glove box and passenger air bag that runs from passenger side of the dash all the way over to the drivers side.

Look at your DVD Glove Box (I say that b/c those without Navigation it's used as a second glove box.) It's the plastic "strip" inbetween the upper portion of that DVD Glove box and the air bag, but it runs across the entirety of the car's dash...

Yeah, I'm in need of a VIN# to "lock down" the part number, so I can order the correct part, instead of ordering 'blindly' and paying out the **** attempting to guess the correct #.

I'll try Chadd...

But in the mean time does anyone have this piece in their 03' ?? That is wiling to PM me their VIN #, so I can order the part?

Thanks Guys,
-WoW

The Nismo in the clock is a cut out from a magazine or something. Of course that picture is NOT my car, or I wouldn't be asking for the part #, b/c he already has it...anyways, I do remember the guy saying that he took his clock out of the car, took the clear plastic cover off, cut out a Nismo logo from a magazine or something along those lines and glued it into the clock.

It doesn't light up or anything.
