haha yah I hate it when people say "use the search button".. could it be we dont have time to search and we need a quick response?

as for the spacers, you'll find a majority of those on g35driver use the 5/16 spacer instead of the 1/2..unfortunetly, i dont know why.. lol
I just ordered the 5/16 yesterday

The 1/2" spacer typically yields 1 to 1.5 HP more than the 5/16" plenum spacer.

^^thats the only difference I found on motordyne.com

now I believe people get the 5/16 and not the 1/2 because the engine room; ive heard people say that their hood can barely close with the 5/16 spacer nevermind the 1/2 spacer
just my .02

with the 5/16 you can keep your engine cover.. if you dont care about the cover than go 1/2..

i asked rick over at fast intentions: what would give the highest HP as far as plenum or plenum spacer?? and his response was:The highest HP and tuneability is the spacer - and the 1/2" is king.

if your just looking for a few extra hp and you want your engine cover than 5/16 is great.. but if your looking for a little more and dont care about engine cover than 1/2 is for you..

Spacers.........large and small!

There are no issues with the hood closing with either spacer! The only real
problem is that the cover will not fit when you install the 1/2" spacer. So
you can either leave it off or do a carbon fiber cover that will have to be
altered......besides it's fun to do custom stuff!

i have the 5/16 so i can keep the engine cover on so when i bring it in for service and warranty its harder to notice it but i found out my dealer doesnt even care about the mods they wont void my warranty for it and they actually swapped everything over when i had the engine replaced and threw stillen headers on while the engine was out that was the only reason i went with the 5/16

From what I hear, 1/2 gives you more top-end power, white 5/16 gives you a better power curve (more mid-end power). So I assume 5/16 is more popular because the power is more accesible and practical, and lets you keep the stock engine cover.

Correct me if im wrong

.

if the cover doesnt fit with the 1/2 spacer.. then doesnt that further lead to the hood not being able to close unless you take it out??

I thought I read somewhere that while the 1/2" makes a bit more power overall, it loses a bit at the low end vs. the 5/16" just adding and not losing. Also wouldn't the 1/2" need to get tuned since it takes in more air? I beleive that someone from Motordyne posted that most people just get the 5/16". Don't quote me, but that's what I remember ready. I've been researching since I was thinking of doing the same mod as well.

You go to Inskip? Last time I was there about my throttle body they said they seen my mods but didn't say anything bad about them!
