Stupid Chicago speed bumps

Wow i live in Chicago, (near the suburbs like elmwood park, harwood heights, or norridge for any1 from here) and these stupid speed bumps make me mad. Some of the ones i go through scrape the bottom of my car which makes me mad everytime...and my G35 coupe isn't even lowered! How are your experiences with speed bumps?

I feel you man. I have to go at them at a diagonal because they always scrape something underneath the car.

I live on the southside of Chicago and always have to deal with the stupid speed bumps on the way in and out of school.

^+1...driveways, dips, speed bumps...some you have to go through them diagonal as if it were a lowered ride.

Yea I have to do that sometimes with different areas while going to and from work. Makes me mad to scrape but I feel like a stupid ricer in one of those slammed civics when I go at them sideways.

check your resonator, if not, it's probably the brush guard, which you are fine to scrape.

LOL I can vouch for Kamek89. I lived in River Forest/Oak Park and negotiating the local neighborhoods was terrible

Check your state laws, the car is stock and is DOT approved so if the speedbumps exceed the max hight, you can sue for damages and have them replaced or removed.... I feel a class action lawsuit coming!!! Call an attorney

So not only the speed bumps but i just got pulled over 20 minutes ago!! i was going around 60mph in a 35 and than i slowed down and was pulling up to a red light (on a one lane road but parking spaces on the side) with one car standing on it, the light turned green as i was moving so i went around the car and right when i did i see lights in back of me. The cop said he got me at 57 mph and gave me a tiket for that and also for "improper overtaking" wtf? he thought i was trying to run from him when i pulled in front of that car lol i didnt even see him. I'm only 17 and these are my 1st tickets. he told me not to worry bout it that it wont go on my record ill just be under supervision for 6 months and i have to go to court soon. D@mn it!!!

No problems in FL. Some of them are even smooth so you don't really have to slow down when on a 35mph zone.
