Ha, I love the picture! Ive never noticed, on longer drives I use my left hand and lean my right arm on the console. I guess I always drive left handed cuz Ive shifted all my life (yes, I realize that leaves me wide open for smart a** comments but Im too tired to reword it).

Remind me to never post anything worth mentioning to people who might have a sincere interest in making an improvement to their cars.

Maybe I'd rest my arm at the base of the window—if I wasn't six and half feet tall with my modded seat lowered to the floor. But to drive, I prefer to keep the blood flowing in my arm by not having it up in the air like I'm in traction in the ER.

F this thread. Let talk about something groundbreaking, like clear corners!

ps: Thanks to those who actually responded their brains turned on.

Hey guy! I agree with you 100% although I do not use the armrests as much like most of the other people who responded here..

A good buddy of mine has an 06 and when I was in his car I noticed the nicely padded armrests. I pointed that out to him.. at first I didn't even really notice it, but yea it sucks that 03-05 doesn't have the nice little padding.

Definitely not worth the ~700 dollar upgrade imo though.

ya, whatever. I tried using the arm rest today and there is just no way. Not without a gangster lean.
I'm only six feet tall, but have lowered my seat also.

Armrest.................?

My drivers seat is all the way down and all the way back so I rarely use
my armrest except to close the door. (handles attached) Besides if you
have both hands on the steering wheel you don't need those uncomfortable,
rough and unbearable armrests.........haha

No, just the silver part that is painted. I'm sure the armrest is pricey.

Can't you 03-04 owners upgrade to the 05+ aluminum handle trim? This will solve the scratching/black thingie.

03-04 owners cannot upgrade to the 05-06 metal door handles, unless the entire door cover is changed. The metal trim for the 05-06 will not snap into the 03-04 door covers because of a size difference.
