The GT has a 260 flywheel and roughly 225rwhp. An intake and exhaust are good for about 235rwhp. The torque and gearing are decent down low, so off the line will be a big factor in the outcome. I want to lean more towards the G for the win on this, but still feel that it is close enough to be a drivers race. Although I also feel the same way about a new G and an 05+ GT.

I had an 02 GT and my friend had a loaner 05 G35 sedan we raced and I lost I traded in my Mustang for a G35 a week later

 

Probably couldn't drive it to it's full potential and had crappy tires, but just speculating.
This is why if you buy a mustang you go Cobra and don't look back.

 

It will be a close race.... You might beat him by a fender..

 

i actually said that to my friend rite after i raced and beat the car. If it was me driving the gt and him in the G i would have won as well. the car was an 05+, and i think being equal drivers the gt should have the slight edge.

 

id say ther g35, i have an 06' 6mt g35 and i raced my friends 07 mustang gt and I beat him a few but he also beat me a few

I've taken a couple of earlier model GT's and 1 new GT. the new ones depend on the driver, the older ones would have to be the cobra version to be a closer race (not the supercharged one those are pretty fast)
