Side mouldings
How are they put on? If the car already comes with them, is it possible to remove them without any damage to the car or do they make holes to stick them on?
Re: Side mouldings
I believe they are stuck on with 3M adhesive and can be removed with a blow dryer. Try using the search function for more info. If you have laser red and want to get rid of them, maybe we could work out a deal???

Re: Side mouldings
Just picked up a graphite/graphite coupe AT with them and asked dealer to remove as part of the deal (don't like the look of them).
I get it done next week and I'll reply with whether you would ever know they were ever there or not.
P.S. Dealer service center tells me held on by adhesive and removal involves a heat gun and buffing off any remnants of the adhesive. Kinda like if you ever had a dealer's plaque removed from a car (which I always do and have always been pleased with the lack of evidence it was ever there.)

Re: Side mouldings
I asked this question awhile ago. I decided to leave mine on because of all the idiots out there who have no concern about other peoples property, however, if you decide to remove them plan to spend a good amount of time to remove the glue material that remains after you get the BSM's off. I spent a few hours when I rebadged my trunk lid to remove the old 3m glue.
Re: Side mouldings
Well the dealer pulled off the side moldings per my agreement when purchasing the car and they must of used a crowbar to do so. Several scratches and chips to the brand new paint -- F%#K!
It is today in the paint shop and let's hope they can at least get that one right.

Probably done by some grease monkey with more testosterone than finesse. You'd have been better of doing it yourself.
If the 'touch up' isn't good enough, tell them to get you another ride.

That's what I was thinking. Anyone ever had any success trading a car that the dealership messed up on for a replacement?
