750 just for labor, clutch install ? !!

I need to install a new clutch and this shop wants to charge me about 750 just for labor !!!!

is this about right ? what is normal ?

Also i was thinking about going with http://www.i-m-racing.com/jimwotejclfl.html what do you all think of that ?

I live in Chico Ca, like an hour north of sacromento

That is way too much. I'm in the process of needing my clutch installed too and i've gotten quotes for as low as $375, labor only.

So if its so much what do i tell the dealership, to make them lower their cost, the guy is saying i would be robbing him if i had him do it for 400

if it is the dealer saying that than tell him to STFU. $750 means let me lollygage around for 4 hours in the middle of working on it and still charge you for it

you shouldn't pay more than $500. Tell them straight up what you want it done for and if they say no than walk out the door

JWT setup is great! I have used it for about 5K now and love every mile! Labor should be around 350-400 as posted above. Maybe a dealer would be around 500 but never more than that. $750 sounds like clutch and labor!

Normal and still sucky. Do an aftermarket clutch and flywheel at the same time if you are replacing your clutch.

I went with the JWT clutch and flywheel setup as well. I just have to get it installed now.

WTF....$750 for the install is way too much....the install should be around $350-450

remember a dealer is almost twice the cost of an independent shop, why can't people remember that

look for a local tuning shop. The work most times is way better, faster and ALOT cheaper.
