center counsle removal

Well its been about a week now...

ive gone through our car manuals, looked at various sites online, searched here. nothing

im trying to get to my center counsle. first i started drivers side and started taking out some of the peices but I seemed to have hit a dead end while trying to make my way to the center. then i went to the passenger side--much more promising. I began taking out the bottom of the glove compartment etc.
Im one piece away from making it into the damn ceneter counsle but that piece of course (my luck) wont come out.

ive been at it for a week, its so aggrivating
as far as I can see from a weeks worth, all screw are out, both sides are loose, but in the middle theres got to be some clips or something preventing me from removing the piece.

here a picture: https://g35driver.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=638&c=29

its the piece to the left a little below the glove compartment that excedes towards to other side of the passenger seat right above the carpeting. thats the little f#$%er!!

Anyone know how to take it off?
thanks in advance guys

OK here is a starter for you....if you put your fingers into the leather boot towards the rear, put your fingers on the lip and pull up! there are 2 snap clips, then pull to the rear and that will remove the center trim piece around the gear shift, also note that depending on what you are doing in order to totally remove the trim piece you wil need to unscrew the shift ****.....it can be a HUGE PITA! If it is take a cloth and wrap the **** and either use rubber pipe wrench or vice grips and turn.

Sorry , you will see screws once you et that piece off. That should be all you need!
1 other thing, put the car in reverse to pull piece back, and of course disconnect all nessary(sp) wires.
