window tint

Re: window tint
What did you have your windows tinted w/......brand. And how dark did you go. If you had chosen a metallized based film, it could disrupt radio, navigation, or any transmission based signals. In addition, if you went w/ metallized film and went really dark.....say limo or 15%, then signal disruption could even be greater. I hope the shop informed you of this......they're supposed to.

Re: window tint
Is that Suntek High Performance (aka HP)? That is a hybrid metallized tint and will screw up your RF reception, like wil said.
You need a tint w/NO metal. That leaves you with either a 100% dyed tint (which will probably turn purple, eventually) or Huper Optik (which is ceramic).
The shop should've warned you since the antenna is in the back glass.
