2003 G35c to be in FORZA MOTORSPORT2
#31
I look at it like this, as I have experience with both.
Forza: Great fun overall, multiplayer is fantastic, driving physics is sort of numb-nutted while still managing to be exciting. I'm ambivalent about the guide lines.
Gran Turismo 4: I primarily use it to simulate driving maneuvers for the G35 and on my now-gone Mini cooper S. My friend uses it A LOT to practice drifting his S2000 (which he is quite proficient at in the game and real life). "competition" in gran turismo is all done by the B-spec driver to win cars and etc.
Overall, I'd pick forza for playing with friends, online, etc. I'd pick GT4 for actual driving practice and simulating track runs (launch, slalom, drift)
GT HD is great. I'm undecided on whether GT HD or GT4 has better simulate physics. It's a bit weird since force feedback is gone for the PS3 now. I also haven't setup my wheel for PS3 yet, so that makes it a bit harder to "feel" the difference. There is not even a question on graphics (GT), though that is only good for watching replays and to wow friends who don't have a PS3... because they are smart, and don't buy systems that has nothing for it minus lame and no-pr0n bluray movies.
conclusion: I like each for different things. I'll wait for GT5 and to actually play forza 2.
