Autodown Windows

Hey guys... does anyone else have an issue with their window's "sticking" a little bit when you go to open the door and the autodown feature kicks in? Of course this has only happend when it's been really cold, but I hate to have soemone open the door real quick and tear up my car. This is my first winter with my G so I was just curious what everyone else does???

Wait do you mean how it comes down and goes back up to reseal? Or when you put the key in the door and turn it to make the windows go down?

nope, of course i live in texas. but my car was in a recent ice storm where there was an inch of ice over my car. didn't have any problems. i haven't heard of anyone breaking anything by opening the door too fast. however, i have had problems with my window motors. i've had both sides replaced, and there is a switch on order for my driver side to be fixed again.

Living in an area where cold/icy weather is inevitable, I used to have a problem with my windows as well. My car unfortunately was never garaged until a year ago, so I had to put up with the frozen window syndrome....

I found the best thing for me was to lightly hit the window switch. This would lower the window approx 1/16", in doing so, it would disengage the auto up/down feature....

Never had any problems during the winter after that........the window still sealed perfectly, and I never had to wonder if the window would be stuck in the up position upon entry/exit of the car.....

Just my $.02
