Stalling

I pulled into my apartment parking space today and was on the phone. I thought I had shift into neutral, but I was in second gear. Well I took my foot of the clutch and the car jerked and stalled. Good thing I had the hand brakes up. Anybody know what kind of damage the engine or clutch would see from doing this?

LOL new 6MT driver huh?

Like papiloco21 said, just relax.

hehe. Been driving manual for 2 years now. I was on the phone and forgot to put it in neutral. I haven't encounter this problem before. And yes I learned manual on my G.

I wonder if you even bothered to read the thread prior to offering up these pearls of wisdom.

doesn't even matter if you had the hand brake on or not. It won't go anywhere, when you stall it cuts off the engine. How did you learn to drive an MT without stalling ever?

I have stalled mine a few times from just being lazy and not paying attention when coming home from work at 6am
