horrible gas mileage!

[QUOTE=stefanzo911]With all due respect,
G's are known to have better gas mileage than Corvettes, I get roughly 23MPG, driving "reasonably", I can probably do 1-2MPG better sitting on the right lane on the highway and keep RPM's below 2K. 75% highway, 25% City./QUOTE]
I sold my 2000 Corvette to get my G. After 40k mostly city miles the overall average MPG was 22. That's amazing considering the engine and power of the car, and I drove it pretty hard when I drove it.
I'm not sure what I'm getting in my G. My Vette had an onboard computer that showed the details, my G doesn't.

05 sedan... I never get over 16. Mostly city driving... My commute to work consists of smashing it to get on the freeway for about a mile. Then stop, go, stop, go, for another 4 miles to work. The only mod I can do to get better mileage is to modify my right foot, and that just isn't going to happen.

wow, how are people getting such crappy gas mileage? for city driving, does that mean like 1 mile and then shut it off?
on road trips, straight highway driving, i get 25mpg... 350+ per tank.
fast city/suburb driving (10 mile commute to work, mild traffic, 55mph roads w/ traffic lights) bout 22 mpg.
city driving as in nyc driving... uh... 0mph, sitting dead stop in front of holland tunnel watching the needle go down

I get only about 16 mpg because my commute sucks ***...I drive for about two miles to school one mile to work from school, three miles back home from work and do it all over again the next day. Theres lots of stop and go and I like to mash it every once and a while. A bike is actually looking pretty tempting, but then I couldnt be flossin' in tha G!

Hers one for ya ....
Wife: my god you filling this car up again ... thats the 3rd time this week
me: hmm your right let me check the nav HOLY SH$T 13.5 mpg
wife: something is wrong with your car
me: yeah but the broken part is out of warrenty
wife: what happened
me: well the Podiatic link between the pedal and the floor is unusually pressurized causing the gas pedal to slamm against the floor and therefore flooding the engine with gas and air under a combustion cycle.
Wife: my god that sound dangerous ....
me: It is ... especially if the linear actuators that are attached to the wheel are not properly controlled by the cranial direction control processor; we could find ourselves in a wreck.
wife: we then fix it ... how much does it cost ...
me: well it could be very expensive to fix due to the fact that our medical coverage wouldn't cover it ...
wife: what the hell ?
....... wait what is a Podiatic link exactly?
Me: oh that would be my leg
wife: your such an *******
