Question Chrome-like finish on our grills...

Does anyone know what exactly it is? The grill is plastic with a chrome like finish right?

So does Nissan use a 2 step electro plating process (base copper and the chrome like finish is electro plated aluminum)? Or is it something else?

Reason being I found a kick *** way to remove it with no sanding, but it only works for this process (was done on mazda badging)

no, i dont believe thats how its done. as far as I know, electroplating needs to be done on metal.

Bleach bath for a few days, then a few hours in a 50/50 ammonia hydrogen peroxide mix (ppl, bleach + ammonia = death fumes...be careful if you try this)

I might try this on a spare grill emblem I have first
