RS-R Exmag GT-II Exhaust

Hi,

I wonder has anyone used it or heard the sound of this system? The straight design <a href="http://store3.yimg.com/I/ntnsracing_1762_7466457" target=blank>looks</a> so cool to me, but don't know how's the sound.
I was thinking to get Fujitsubo, but I found more new brand are coming up...really hard to make the decision.

PS: I know it's for 350z, but it's not a big problem though

Re: RS-R Exmag GT-II Exhaust

Hi,
Thanks Carlo!! It sounds so sweet!! I think it's my choice!! I was looking for Tommy Kaira Z type II, but it is so difficult to find it....send couple emails to their website, but no respond (may be i don't know japanese). Anyway, do you know when will the dual exhaust come out?..if it takes too long, I may buy this one as a X'mas gift for myself..^_^

The longer you wait, the more choices you will have. HKS and Greddy are just around the corner. However, if you get the Fujitsubo, you will be very happy. I love my Fujitsubo Y-pipe and cat-back exhaust. Not too loud, deeper and lower in tone. Comes to life when you punch it. Fit and finish is top notch. As you probably know, Fujitsubo is one of the premiere exhaust manufacturers in Japan. They make the Nismo exhaust for Nismo. You can't go wrong with the Fujitsubo.

Re: RS-R Exmag GT-II Exhaust

well racinx.com has it for $1,050 but i never used them befor so i cant say anything about that site. but the exhaust isnt out yet and that is the only pice i have seen for it.
http://www.racinx.com/RACINX/BodyStl...0zexhaust2.htm

here is some info about it from IM Racing
http://www.i-m-racing.com/rsdusoex35co.html

And here is a link to RS*R webpage. i was unable to find any info on it there. they used to have a section about it but i cant find it now.
http://www.rs-r.com/index.htm

As far as price goes i have seen the GTII exhuast for the 350Z selling for $889 while the one for our car is priced at around $1189 from RS*R webpage. So u might be better off just simple buying the 350Z peice and having an exstention peice made for it.

Good luck hope this helps u

Re: RS-R Exmag GT-II Exhaust

I have the Pro-1 exhaust which is very similar to the RS*R, but way less in price. Let me know if you're interested, and YES it is very loud. Here's a pic of my setup.

Re: RS-R Exmag GT-II Exhaust

Well the RS*R exhausts for the G coupes should be clearing customs soon and be ready for distribution to their authorized retailers soon. I was lucky enough to test fit the RS*R for our coupe, and that's how they finalized the production models. Although the website lists the MSRP at $1189, I'm sure the street price will be lower than that...no far off the 350z price as the 350z msrp is $1049.

Jerryan77...if you happen to be in so. cal...I'd be glad to show you the exhaust and have you listen to it first hand. I'm extremely happy with the build quality and the more aggressive exhaust note with this exhaust. With the silencers in, it's not all too loud...without the silencers, it's a whole other ball game Still sounds great but pretty loud for every day street use. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: RS-R Exmag GT-II Exhaust

Thanks Volkracing!!

I wonder how much would it cost to have muffler shop to make the extension and install the exhaust for me (I mean if I buy the 350z exhaust)?
If it cost more than $150, I will definitely wait for the G coupe exhaust!! RS*R seems my choice already!! How's the dyno result? As long as it doesn't lost HP like 5Zigen, I am satisfied with it.
I would say I won't feel any difference if the exhaust gains few HP, but I will feel like i am an idiot if I lost HP on my mod!! ^_^

Re: RS-R Exmag GT-II Exhaust

Hey jerryan77...
Yeah I doubt the price difference will be $150 at street price...but where are you located btw? if you're in so cal I might be able to get you a decent deal on the exhaust. I actually might ditch my prototype and opt for the finished production model...as it rids it of the extension and has one solid pipe running through there. I figure the less connections, the better.

I will actually be dynoing my car this saturday...I know I've been saying I would for the past how many months...but this time should be for sure. I don't have a baseline dyno, but we should be able to estimate the gains using others' baseline dynos. won't be the most accurate, but it'll have to do for now.

Re: RS-R Exmag GT-II Exhaust

The one I have on my car dyno'd an 8hp gain w/ the silencers removed. Price is $635 plus $50 for the extension piece. The one on my car is the prototype...the production one comes with all fully polished piping.
