Re: my STOCK baby with 280zx

i haven't seen a 280zx in a long, long time. my brother drove a 280zx turbo back in the day. a hand-me-down from my dad. also black with tan interior. i remember the funky way those rear windows opened. oh yeah, my brother's datsun also talked.

Hmm.. My rear windows don't open, but the female voice that says the doors are open still works. =)

Re: my STOCK baby with 280zx

The first shot reminds me of when I parked my '95 BMW 325is at the Infiniti dealer next to a G35C for the first time. The G coupe is surprisingly big by comparison. It makes your 280ZX look like a miniature, as it did my BMW. This really worried me intially. I thought the G might drive and handle like a big, heavy car. Thankfully, as most of us here know by now, it most decidedly doesn't.

Also note the huge difference in wheelbase...

The G coupe is a lot bigger than it seems. You know it's longer than a C5?

Really??? Longer than a C5 huh? When my dad saw my new G for the first time, he said "how come you got such a small car?" I guess it really isn't that small.

Re: my STOCK baby with 280zx

All of which begs the question: What's all that extra size being used for? Certainly not on the trunk, and it's a bit cramped in the engine compartment around the V6. I suppose the backseat has pretty good leg room, but the lack of headroom screws it up. Speaking as a big guy, I would call the front seating area comfy, but not huge. No, I take that back. Compared to sports cars, it's pretty huge. I guess that's it.

Re: my STOCK baby with 280zx

Backseat room is freaking huge. I wish it was smaller heh, or non-existant for that matter. But I won't **** anyone off getting into that... =P

Extra room is pretty much the backseats, I think. Front isn't too big, trunk isn't too big, and engine compartment is no where near as big and open as my 280zx. The wheelbase is as long as a Gsedan actually. The 350z wheelbase is like a whole foot shorter, it matches a lot better in size next to my 280. Yea, I thought the G was small compared to other cars, but huge compared to my 280zx. At least it doesn't handle like its size. =) It still looks small in terms of design.
