couldn't go pass 3000rpm ?
i just got home from shooting pool wit my friend. and he wanteds to check out my G, so i let him take it for a ride. before we took off, i popped the hood and we were just checking it out. Then we took it around the block, but then he notices he couldnt go pass 3000rpm becuase the car started to jerk continuously... so then i got in the drivers seat and turn it off then on again. and it as still doing the same thing. So we pulled over again and i popped the hood and was checking it everything seemed fine so i closed the hood. then everything was ok again... have this ever happened to anyone? i think ima take it in to get it checked out

I had the same problem once but mines was a little different.
When I would start the the VDC and check engine light wound stay on as well as teh oil light. My car would not rev pass 2k and it sounded like crap. To make it worst it was raining and I had no umbrella.
I got got to make sure I did not have any leaks in any hoses or if any hoses on the CAI came loose but everything checked out to be fine. Restarted the car but got teh same result.
Disconnected battery for 10 min then all was fine.
Took it to the dealer the next day and they replaced the ECU....so I would have it looked at.

maybe back gas, alot of those cheaper places have alot of water in the gas and you could have alittle blockage that came loose after driving it a bit more
just an idea, also was it very cold where you are, if so when u start your car from sitting for a few hours or over night in the cold, your car will stutter until she warmes up or you might have hit ur mas plug and it came a bit losse and hwn u closed hood it poped back into place or reconnected from a loose connection

MAF = Mass Air Flow sensor, it detects how much air is going into your engine and the temperature. That's how the ECU, Engine Control Unit, decides how much fuel to feed to your engine. With the MAF malfunctioning, the ECU limits the rev to under 3000 so not too much gas is flooding your engine and damaging parts.
