does this look like a decent deal?

First off, I am a big VW/Audi fan but I dont hate on others. My first VW was 2002 2.0L Jetta, then the uber 3.2L AWD R32, I recently bought a brand new 2006 GTI 2.0T Leather etc etc Fully Loaded minus Nav.

I have worries about future problems, DV's and PCV's have been blowing on all the new GTI stock or not. I dont want to invest $$ then blow a motor. So now I am thinking more Show than Go. G35 I think offer the best of both worlds.

My friend has a black one at his dealership that I am lookin at on Monday.
Heres the specs:

2004
51,000 miles
Black Leather
Brembo Brakes
6MT (which is what I want)
Power Heated Seats
Premium Package
Spoiler
Price tag of $25,000

My car just hit 10,000 miles today.

DO you think its worth the trade plus some cash probably?
Would you trade a car in to get another with 5 times the miles?

Your car brand new is 22K roughly. Sounds like an even trade but I don't think you should really expect and cash back unless your friend is going to hook you up that way.

Completely up to you and what you want. You will probably lose all warranty which your VW should still be fully covered, something to think about.

By the way the G does have plenty of "show" but it's also got a good amount of "go". Your 6MT is gonna be right around 300HP, granted its about 200lbs. heavier than your GTI.

Thanks for the input guys. I was expecting to pay trade and cash not recieve cash back.

Ricky Bobby: I am on the tex too (same handle) I know what you are saying but I am just sayin that the DV blows all the time and after I would get chipped it seems like it happens even more. I dont want to spend 100 bucks everytime I blow one.

I'll see what I can do with the price and how low he will go then go from there.

Thanks again!
