Happens to me too at the time, especially at the track. I wish there was an easy fix...

YES there is some wheel hop on the g's, I don't know why it doesn't seem to be a universal issue, could be weather, tires, even different ideas on what wheel hop is. . . I've owned FF cars and the wheel hop you experience in a g is very similar. I have noticed that it only seems to happen on wet pavement for me, when it's dry I either hook up or slide sideways
One. I was responding to an earlier thread, so it's not just me you want to scold mother. Two, I've experience wheel hop in the wet too, but only in the wet. I haven't heard of any g driver that i knew, that knows how to drive experience wheel hop in any other situation.

that is completly 100% incorrect....alot of rwd cars with alot of torque experince wheel hop....cadillac cts-v is one of them.

I go away for two days, and its a three page thread... wow

granted some of those are the usual flames and some of them are actually dang good info, thanks for the responses of kinetic makes some parts to get rid of it and maybe i should take the car in to get it checked. Meh, its not a big deal, I just get wheel-hop because i like launching at higher rpms, guess that means launch lower.

As for problems with the suspension, i'm curious about that but considering its an 06 with 9k miles on it i doubt it.

Maybe we can bring peace back to this thread (and I realize my part) and get some useful information. We all can agree that wheel hop sucks, and would like to do something to prevent or limit it.

Wilksoner you said that you don’t get wheel hop. Maybe the increase in horsepower from the intake and exhaust mods combined with the relatively stiff s-techs and swaybars is a cure. Did your G hop before the mods?

Come to think of it, I have not done a drag style launch since putting on my sways and h-techs. When I get my G back from the dealer, I’ll do some scientific experiments.

ALMOST ANY IRS REAR DRIVE car is going to wheel hop! Um sh1tty AMERICAN suspension?? Why do you even chime in in 3/4 of the posts you reply to? Most of time the info you spout is completely false

no i used to be a big american muscle fan, but got my *** kicked too many times by imports, learned to appreciate them and saw how screwed up american cars REALLY are, and converted (5 or so years ago lol when the import thing was starting to go mainstream) lol.

yes i do, have both and don't get me started on mercedes. They weren't hitting their profit margins around 4 years ago and started using cheaper parts. I had a friend in a mercedes mechanic and he has been warning everyone away from their newer cars since he found out. Also if you look at their cars you can see visibly the change in quality over the years.

ResIpsa, my stillen sways and eibach prokit springs didn't make that much difference, I think it's really a matter of simple physics, any suspension that doesn't involve bolting the axles right to the frame is going to experience some up and down force, causing hop - maybe with the exception of top end coilovers (set sooo stiff that the street ride would be unpleasant) or the Kinetix replacement links . . .
