if youre that worried, find a local with a stock intake and slap it on.

warranties should not be voided if the mod did not cause the problem. BUT, most dealers will give you as much **** as they can to convince you they cant work on your car b/c of the mods..

Absolutely. My brakes are grinding, and the dealer said it's because of the aftermarket wheels I put on the car. Take off the CAI and you won't have to worry about it. If you give them ANY.......I mean ANY reason to deny a warranty claim, they will do it, which makes no sense to me because Infiniti is paying them anyway.

It totally varies from stealership to stealership. I have had my car in for several warrentied issues and they never said a word about my mods.

You should ask people in the socal forum for a dealer near the Hollywood area that doesn't care about aftermarket mods.

id most definetly play it safe if your worried like that and take it off

personally, I leave mine on since my dealership (so far) seems to be pretty understanding and what not but who knows, itll be interesting when a problem arrises

this is it exactly. The warranty issue isn't clear and there has been no legal precedent, so if you're worried, just take of the CAI and put it back on after your get your car back.

Warranty issues are at the descrection of each individual dealer. As they are privately owned. If you have a warranty issue with a particular dealer, you have to call infiniti corp customer service.

They actually have to prove that your mod did indeed cause the problem before they can deny you. So if you are having electrical problems with the cd player or some crap like that, they can't say it's because you put different wheels on,or you have a different bulb in your corner marker. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson-Moss_Warranty_Act

the dealership's are but the actual warranties they offer are standard, so technically you're right and wrong. If they warranty was just up the the dealer's discression, infiniti customer service wouldn't have any authority.

LOL many dealers, (mine included) install CAI's so there shouldn't be an issue as long as they're installed properly.....

There are some dealers who are **** about any mods, so you need to find out about your dealer.
