I'm kinda hesitating in getting rid of my Z....I was supposed to go trade my 6speed m/t 350Z in for a 6speed m/t G35 coupe....any regrets at all???

Wait for the G37, and I assure you, you will have no regrets.

As for me, I could not be happier with my 06 6MT.

It's sporty, awesome handling, great power, and looks as good as a 60k car

+1, I don't miss my Touring 350. I guess I miss looking at it. But I gained everything that it wasn't + what the Z is. I am a huge driving enthusiest as I guess we all are, but the G does everything so much smoother from revving to taking corners. 2 weeks going now and I am falling deeper & deeper in love LOL

1) this shouldve been posted in the off topic forum

2) what's your reasoning for wanting to get a g in the first place? imo, it's much more practical - which is why i chose it (four seater, cheaper insurance). but if it weren't for that, the z would have been mine. if you don't really have a good/logical reason to get the g, i'd say stay with the z.

-IMHO, the G is better looking than the Z (the Z's rear end could use some work- my old 300ZX's (Z32) rear end is much better). Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

-The G has a smoother ride with the longer wheelbase- it won't beat you up as much as a Z.

-You get better service (for the most part), loaners, and warranty with the Infiniti.

-The G is made in Nissan's best factory in Japan (Tochigi).

-The G does not seem to be as prone to the front tire feathering problem as Z's are.

well....this thread will explain half of the history:

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/143741-looking-get-g35c-replace-my-z.html

...but then I realized how much I'll miss my Z...i love my Z...i love the looks of it and I love the looks of it soo much...from the front...from the rear...so, then i decided that I'm just gonna say F*** IT and get a Z Roadster....but now I found this badass deal on a 2005 G35C with 10k miles 6 speed m/t, premium and sport packages for $27k....so now I'm back to loving the back seats, the nicer interior, the dual climate control system, the moonroof...etc....but I still love the looks of my Z...but...egh.....

Well everyone mentioned the good part of buying the G so let me tell u that bad parts.

Z has more precise steering feel
Z accelerates quicker after 3rd gear
Z lighter
Z more nimble in tight corers
Z more of a "driver's" car

If u don't NEED to fit 4 people in the car i don't see why u would want to get a G35 instead of the Z. Ok the G35 looks better to some people, but that would not force me of buying a G35.

When shopping for my 03 mt6 i looked at the Z and really liked the way it handled, I think that stock the Z handling is a little firmer, but then I looked at trunk. If I wanted to drive out to the beach and go diving I would have a hard time fitting my scuba stuff and a single duffle bag in the back of that thing, mutch less have any room for someone to come along. The Z just isnt practical enough, why get something with the room of a roadster with the weight of a full sedan.
Also,.. AMAZING tail lights on the G.

Exactly.

I really like the Z, but the G just has too many advantages over the Z .

And the advantages that the Z has over the a G35 Coupe 6MT (or Auto with Sport),including the ones you previously stated are not anything significant.

Just get whatever makes you happy.

i have wanted a Z ever since it came out and i liked it over the G at first due to it's the real sports car, less practical (i was only 22..lol), lighter/faster, and more eye catching in the sense that it's diff.. and i LOVED the look of the Z with the nismo wing.. that's really all a stock Z is missing, that beautiful nismo wing. i still love looking at the Z till this day.

however, when the time came to pick a car, i decided to go with my IP G. it just wayy too sexy not to get it, more luxury and more practical. sure its slower, heavier, and not as pure of a sports car..but it's ALMOST a Z with alot more other goodies! i dont think i would regret getting either, but im very happy with my choice of having a G. whenever i see a Z, is still admire it..still have the thoughts of WHAT IF.. what if i got it.. man, one sexy ride. but then, if i have a Z..i probably be thinking and saying the same thing when i see a G! man, if i have enough money i would have BOTH..haha, then i wont have that problem

now my problem with my G is.. it's WAY TOO SLOW and HEAVY! so we'll c where i go from here.. so many faster and more luxurious cars are coming out (or already out)..so it does get very tempting. however, nothing is as sexy as my IP G still.. i love the look of it. i wish the performance can match it's looks. i guess it's really not the car's fault. it was on top of the moutain when it first came out but with the IS350 and 335i, our first gen G is feeling a little old and slow now. im really looking forward to the new G37 and maybe you should too. it could very well be my next car..

sorry for the long post!!

I don't care for speed...well...let me take that back...I'm 28 years old, I'm not planning on racing or modding my car...even with my current Z, yeah I drive it spiritedly, but the speed is not important to me...but I just love the handling and the looks and sound of the car...
