OK, this isn't the first time this has happen to me here on g35driver.com, and I'm CERTAIN I'm not the only one its happen too either.

Why is it that when anyone buys something, lets say rims, tires, an exhaust system, whatever - from a legit retailer, they now become "the hook up man" sending out PM, e-mails, and posting up crap like I can get you a better price, or I can get you that item, PM me for more info... and act as if they own a shop or something???

They come off as shop owners, distributors, or wholesalers, all because they bought some stuff from a shop, and now they think they can service everyone else?

I'm not going to point fingers or mention any names, but the most recent incident involves someone who posts that he's looking for Volk rims and where would be the best place to get them... A legitimate post and quite frankly a good one!

Soon after, I picked up my Volks and this certain individual who posted that question, PM's me asking what I paid for mine, and then responds with a number like $100 less than what I got my set for. When I ask him, who are you (questioning the fact that just like a week ago he was asking everyone else where to get em, now he's selling wheels), it takes about 2-3 PM's back and fourth before he comes clean and says the price is from an online retailer he got a quote from.

That really pissed me off! JUST COME CLEAN! Take the "I" away and say, so and so can get you those for so much. So the next time anyone gets a PM or e-mail or whatever stating "I" can get you that, ASK WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!

I am up front with all my customers. I already have several vouches on this forum of how legitimate and up front I am with my customers (and potential customers) and my service for them. No point in pretending that you're looking for wheels when you're the one supplying them and just trying to get more business for your company.

I just purchased my set of gramlights 57f pros from jason at enjukuracing, they will be here in atlanta wed. I have found them to be very professional and up front, otherwise i would not have dealt with them.I will be posting pics of the new wheels as soon as they are on.

For all of you REAL shop owners and retailers, this does not apply to you. I thank all of you for youe help, advice and services you offer us here on this forum. You all are a BIG help. yeah... ducatiguy, i got your back on this one! I am sick of these people who think they are sellers, just because they found a spot that sells something cheap!

Instead of attempting to pass yourself off as having a hookup... which you don't your just a customer... simply post the location, and info about the purchase.... IT'S SIMPLE!!!!!

We would appreciate you all letting a Mod or Admin know about any spamming that goes on. We want you to get good prices and excellent service from vendor and at the same time balance providing good community and information on our little site.
I spoket to Yuichi and the reason we keep our Vendor Ad banners pricing a little high is to try and weed some and try not to clutter up our pages with banners, making easier reading and navigation.
So again let us know so we can ask them to stop or apply for vendor status. We are looking into having vendors sponsor parts of G35Driver, but have not made a decision yet.

i dont understand what ur problem with it is. I personly dont do that but i am always more then happy to get PMs about better prices and such. What difference does it make to you if some guy sends you a PM trying to HELP YOU OUT. and give you a better price. this forum is desighned to help you and is that not what people are doing by sending you deals? If you dont want there help then dont respond or tell them thanks but no thanks. Your post just seems counter productive. If some one sends me a PM that tells me i can save $100 on rims or an exhaust u better belive i will take that deal so i dont see why u woundlt or why u find this to be a problem.

The problem is not with someone trying to HELP OUT. The problem occurs when someone poses as a dealer or distributor and offers a hook up. If that person knows of a good deal, that's wonderful. He or she should just announce that deal and be done with it. Why all the, "I can get you a great hook up. PM me for details." bull??? Keep it real!

I have met others like that, in the computer world. They are all working on special secret deals and imply that nobody else can get them. When pressed, you find out that they are just buying from the shop down the street, nothing special or unique. People who do this impress me as needing to feel superior or chasing their 15 minutes of fame on a personal scale. But it outs as deceptive and disingenuous. It is much better to be open, honest and helpful considering karma and all.
