How do you rewire the orange blinker peice in the headlight so that it only comes on when you use the blinker?

later today, or tomorrow i was going to post the how to for this...

here is the short version until then:

1. remove wheel
2. remove wheel well liner
3. reach far around the light housing to where the light for the orange blinker is
4. turn slightly to remove
5. cut the RED power wire going to the light
6. seal and tape up the ends
7. clean grease or fingerprints off bulb and return to housing, & lock in place
8. replace wheel well trim
9. remount the tire using star pattern to tighten
10. YOUR DONE!

It looks really hot without them on...

I am running stock lows, euro type-r highs, piaa led white/whit in my clear corners, and clearance strip, and i wired the clear corners to blink with the clicker, but they also stay on as running lights!

The bulb for the above installation is a dual fillament bulb, it has one fillament for the constant running light, and one for the clicker, by cutting the red wire the constant running fillament will not turn on...

I am thinking of possibly putting this on a relay eventually so i can change from hot looking to semi-stock!

you really don't have to go through the trouble, Im assuming the bulb is a dual prong, so all you have to do is take the bulb out and put a small square of electric tape over one of the prongs and test what it does, all it takes is 2 tries and at least you don't have to cut the wires. I did this to my M3, took 2 mins.

 

Your m3 doesnt require removing the wheel well to change your light bulbs...
