I CANNOT believe I did this....Pictures/Estimates?
Guys...I cannot believe I just did this. I, like all of you, am meticulous when it comes to my cars. I obsess over a freaking water mark dammit. Please read..I know it seems long. Then look at the pictures and give me your thoughts.
I was parallel parking perpendicularly behind two of my friends cars because some1 was in my spot. As I get out and leave one friend screams out the window to back my car up a little because my nose was a little bit behind a 3rd car. So i open my door and sit in half way... i dont even start the car. I know there is a very slight incline I am parked on, so with one leg out the car and one in, I let the car out of gear and put down the E brake. I let it roll a couple inches annnnd GOOD. ok time to press the brake...wtf...I'm not stopping...IM STILL SLOWLY ROLLING! I panic and bring in my left foot to slam down on the brake that gave out?!?! OH WAIT, the way I was situated..i PRESSED DOWN THE CLUTCH!!!!! ****!!!
I watch as my door slowly goes into the rear quarter panel of my friends shtty 1998 mustang. From the pressure and not impact (because I was literally barely rolling) there is a dent on his panel and his tail light cracked... however, look at the lip of my drivers door... i guess all the weight of a 3,500lb pig was stopped with the thin sheet metal of the door...
HOW MUCH is this going to cost me? I have a 1,000 deductable...crap. Guys..i'm so mad at myself. its bad if some1 hits you, but so so so SO much worse when you do it to yourself...crap
I'm literally Fuming. Let me know your estimates...and anywhere good to go in Jersey. Thanks guys...I could really use some help right about now.

dont feel too bad, i have a friend who one day was loading his car in the garage. he opened the rear door put his bag inside the car, then WALKED around the open door, got in his car and backed out of the garage. He completely crushed the door and the garage.
just bang it with a hammer man.
Get some spray paint and you'd be good to go.
That does suck though.
Does not look like you need to replace the door. I would imagine it would cost somewhere around a grand.

ouch. the edge has to be hammer and dollied, body puttied. door and quarter have to be prepped and painted...$800 to $1,200 i would guess.

Cost around $300-400 in Houston to fix that back to looking like it never happened. If the door closes like it always has you will need no hinge adjustment; if not, you need to have that area and the hinges inspected for damage.
I bet the hinges are fine; they look pretty stout compared to some.
