Body Kit / Suspension Questions

Met with the owner of a local shop yesterday regarding some mod's I would like done to my G. Of course, the guy tried to sell me every single possible upgrade that you can do. Trying to figure out what I really need and don't need, so my questions are;

If I plan on putting a Greddy front & Kenstyle back on, do I need the side skirts? He also said if I don't lower it at this point, it won't look right. True or false?

Any help is appreciated. More than anything, I am worried on scraping on speed bumps, pulling into my garage, ect. Don't want to spend a bunch of money and regret it later.

he's right about everything. you need skirts to carry such an aggressive front/rear. not to mention the front/rear are way too low for stock skirts.

nothing every looks right without lowering the car properly.

lowering the car plus a kentsyle front will mean you'll have to angle it over speedbumps and driveways. in most cases, you have to sacrafice some things to look good.

Thanks for the input. I have seen G's with front & rear kits w/o the skirts and didn't think they looked all that bad, but I want to make sure I do all of these mod's right the first time around.

that's subjective. however, you'll find that most people share the same opinions in that you'll need some skirts to balance the kenstyle front/greddy rear.

I don't think you need to lower if you have aftermarket 19's or 20's... some people are really **** about that, but i couldn't imagine being that low for a daily driver.

I'm just going to do the greddy body kit, seriously doubt i'll drop it... tho I have the springs in the garage.

imo, aftermarket wheels + no drop is worse than stock wheels + no drop. i think a lot of people will agree with me when i say that a drop will add the finishing touches when getting new wheels. and no one said the car has to be slammed. even a conservative drop with g35 h techs would help.

but again, it's all subjective.

When I do all of this, I will get getting aftermarked 20's, so I am guessing I will take the advice given and drop it. Nothing major, just want to make sure it looks right.

Well the lowering it is a completely different labor then just putting on a body kit. So you can do the body kit, see how it looks and then decide if you want to lower it.

The guy at the shop is really pushing me to do it all at once. I know that for the most part, he is just doing his job as a salesman, but after hearing a couple of opinions, I think he might be right. Does anyone have picts of;

Body kit w/o lowering?
Body kit w/ lowering?

That might aid in my final decision.

imo, it would be best to do it all around the same time. however, don't rush into things. look into what you want to get and what your best options are.
