Question for Coupe AT Owners

When starting your car and putting in reverse, do you ever here a clacking sound (just one "clack") as it goes into reverse?
I hear this noise every time start my car and put it in reverse to back out of my parking spot...just wondered if it's normal.

Reverse noise in 5AT............

Are we talking about first thing in the morning or everytime you go into reverse? I always let my G warm up while I'm taking the dust off with my
Ca. duster. So it never sees cold idle when I put it in gear. And, I haven't
heard a clunking noise when I put it in gear/reverse!

make sure you are stepping on the brake all the way when shifting, it may be a problem with the gears engaging. I only get a similar sound but when im on a hill shifting out of P.

I think this is different...this TSB is for mainly MT owners? and the noise is described as a click click click in forward or reverse.

yeah i know what you're talking about, it's just the transmission shifting to the reverse gearing, nothing wrong there, then when you put it back in drive you should here another little click from the transmission shifting back

You aren't supposed to "warm up" fuel injected engines, it adds to the carbon deposits. You should immediately start driving unless you live in EXTREMELY cold conditions, which most of us don't.
