Nothing seems to go my way right now. What should I do?

I got hit from behind last week and brought my G to my bodyshop. I asked them to match the bumper paint to the older bumper which is slightly off the the body of the car. I get my car back yestrday and the color seems to be a bit darker. I said to myself, I will try to drive it around for a bit and mayb I will get over it, but thats not happening, I notice it too much. So I called them and they will redo it. I have a question: When they redo it, do they take off all the old paint and repaint it the new color? or is it painted over the existing one. Reason I ask is because I heard that the more you paint something the cheaper the quality gets, and since it looks soo fresh I dont want to mess that up.

And second thing: I go to wash my car today and notice that the 2 passenger wheels have white stains all over them. Inside and out. I was able to get most of the outside out but i didnt bother with the insiude. I guess when they cleaned my car they used some kind of acidic spray on them and they are stained. I now it will come off by polishing them but should i run this over with them and see if mayb they can pay for the repair? I didnt tell them to only wash with soap cuz I didnt know they would wash the car, but does that make it my fault at all? The repair will probably be around 400.

Sorry for the rant guys, just trying to get some ideas. TIA.

^^ Thats true to.

The quality should be the same. Unless you keep making them re-do it, they might just do a bad job on purpose.

this is from my experience repainting my bumper back then.
if the clearcoat is already sprayed onto the bumper then the body will need to remove all paint repaint the whole thing. if the clearcoat is not on yet then yes he can paint it over. in your case dont settle anything less, you pay good money so make sure they sand down the bumper n match the paint 99% to factory. ip is hard paint to match but doable. gl

IP is real hard to match because its something with the layers for it right? good luck with the matching this time. Im sure they will sand it down and paint it fresh and nicely for you. Also im not sure if your sol on the wheels, all i know i my car is going in monday for service and its gonig to have 5 signs on it screaming do not wash. Id juist prefer to do it myself to avoid 400 dollars of pain and the confusion of having a dealer / crap place clean it.

from my understanding, its necessary to remove the bad paint and respray it all over again or youll get a different color, most likely not matched to your car. Good luck with the whole process kid. We should grab some drinks tomorrow in Astoria, itll make you feel a lil better lol.

Queens, thats definitely what we need to do. Although, I will be recked for the fight on Saturday, so one extra day may not kill me. Thanx for the suggestions guys. The bodyshop called me today. They will redo it, and afterwards I will drop my car off at the wheel shop (SL METALS) so that they can polish up my rims. But I will be paying, lol.

Sorry to hear about all this.

I would make sure they fix it up to your standards. The inconvenience now will be worth it down the road.
