LOL you guys trip me out. Yea im definately sold on the G35. That will be my next car. And to whoever said its as fast as a new GT...try unhooking the GT from the car trailer. j/k But I had to test drive it 2 more times today just because I want it that bad! I must say, I like the stock exhaust note...just wish it was alittle louder. I however don't think I will be getting a G35 until this time next year. I need to get the cars I have where I would like them before I start with a new car payment. 95 Mustang needs a 351W in it with a lil spray and the Cobra has to get a turbo kit yet. So I'm not ready right now for the G. But I will be hanging around here alot so I can learn as much as possible. So get used to seeing me around guys!

Trust me from experience I felt the same way you did, loved the exhaust note but needed it louder/more aggressive. I went with the Nismo exhaust and was VERY satisfied.

Are you thinking about getting it new or used? The current model year is the last one for the G35 coupe, the G37 is gonna replace it this August. I'm sure there'll be a few new 07's left in stock for a couple months after that, but come winter, if you want the G35 coupe, your only option may be used. There is the possibility you could get an 07 for a steal though if you get it in late September or early October. It probably depends on demand though, if the G37 is a hot seller and dealers are desperate to get rid of the 07 G35s, they may offer some good discounts.

good question, I've only had it a month today!
but I can tell you I've worked on my cars myself, and this wont be any different, but looking at the maintenance log, this will be a piece of cake.

If you are looking to keep the stock exhaust and add some "muscle" sound to it...go with the stillen or fast intentions. I have a few videos of my exhaust and a couple drive bys. One thing i will tell you is with simple bolt ons you will never get 300 WHP, you might get around 260-265 at most. There have only been a few 300 WHP 350z's and i think like 1 g35...you will have to do a lot of engine work to get to 300 WHP.

Anyways here are some videos of my car i have the stillen exhaust and INJEN cold air intake...

Hope this helps a little...

Stopsign32v,

I think I can help you out a bit since I own a 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT, and my brother owns a 2007 Mustang GT 5MT.

As far as power: he obviously has the upper hand. But don't be decieved by it. The Mustang GT feels faster because of that beautiful V8 torque. It is faster, plain and simple, but not by much. At the drag strip, stock for stock, the GT has the upper hand. But its still within a drivers race.

Handling department: no comparison. My 2006 6MT would dance around his car in a roadcoarse. The axle of the GT is so harsh for apperantly no reason.

Looks: looks is very subjective, but ill try to put it as easy as possible. The Mustang GT has that "dont mess with me" look. It's pretty aggresive, and I love the looks, except for the SUV-Like wheel gap.

The G35 in the other hand, has that exotic coupe look. Much more my taste, and since its so much classier, it turns alot more heads

Interior: I love the 07 Mustang GT, but the interior itself would make me think twice about getting. The GT is just like any other muscle car: power, power, and power. Obviously, Ford had nothing in mind when they designed the interior, because its nothing to brag about.

Now, for your aftermarket help. You stated you wanted that stock sound, just amplified. I can assure you no one else can contradict this statement: The Stillen exhaust for the coupe is the closest youll get to the stock exhaust, but it sounds so much better. It just like the stock exhaust, but deeper and low rpms and magnified. But when you get on it, it screams!

As far as intakes, stick with stillen too.

If you need any more help, ill gladly help you. I dont know if you can get any better help, since I have experience with both.

Goodluck with the G!

.
