New to Imports and thinking about getting me a G35...Wondering what to do

Well let me first say I think I have fallen in love with this car. I am either getting this car or a 08 Mustang GT 5 speed. I was sold on the Mustang and then sat in the G35, man is this nice. Then I made this mistake of test driving it. I'm basically sold on the G35 now. Now I do have some questions. I'm new to imports and know nothing about the G35 or any import really.

One thing that sold me on the G35 is the sound of the exhaust. Is it me or does the G35 sound like a true exotic car and not an import? Well I think it does anyways, my main question is can I keep that exotic almost whine sound to the exhaust but make it a bit louder? I searched and searched on here before joining and found out that most say the HKS exhaust with cats is the most exotic sounding exhaust. Is this true? Does anyone have a sound of it?

Also does exhaust and intake really add power to this car? The car will be strictly a daily driver/weekend fun car/car show car. I am not looking for alot of power, I have 2 Mustangs for that. One of which has over 400rwhp and the other will have atleast 700rwhp in a couple of months (in the middle of a motor rebuild). I would like alittle more pep out of the G35, maybe get it to 300rwhp if at all possible with minor bolt ons. If not I will settle with what I can get. Can these take nitrous well? Basically....guys school me on G35 coupe 6-speeds! I'm wanting a ****ing pimp *** G35 that will sound like a damn Ferrari. Help me out if ya will.

Oh and badass message board you got here.

Also, what is a good website for aftermarket parts for the G35?

Get the G!!!

So much better of a car.

As for parts. Search around this forum. Even check out the link "my car" in my sig for quite a few.

There are many vendors on this site with great deals. I would start with them.

Thanks, I'm mainly wondering about the exhaust. Like I said I've searched and searched. Even searched Youtube. What do you guys feel is the most "exotic" sounding exhaust? I don't want deep sound. And I sure as hell don't want the "Bruuuum BRUUUUUUM" Honda sound!

And yes, I know the G35 is a much better car. Pssst, I have owned 5 Mustangs.

The exhaust issue has been a very well discussed one here on the forums.

check out

or on the Search button on the top type in "Exhaust"

IMO the best sounding exhaust are as follows from best to alright sounding.

1. Fast Intentions Intimidator
2. Stillen
3. Injen Ti
4. Nismo (Just like stock but enhanced sound)
5. HKS Ti

I am bias because I have the HKS and when someone that I don't know chases me down on the highway just so he can pull next to me to say I have the sexiest exhaust he has heard I think that sold itself. You can go with other people suggestions but the one thing I notice after sat in almost every after market exhaust for the car is that the HKS has little to no droning. Stillen is the worst fo them all next is the borla.

HKS.... Now search Fast Intentions... HKS looks great, but as far as sound IMO sounds too raspy/high pitched

What is your full exhaust combo? How does aftermarket headers change the tone? Any gains in headers? What about O/R pipes instead of cats? Highflow cats? Stock cats?

Thats what I want. I don't want a deep sound. If I do I will hop in the Stangs and set off alarms in parking lots with my turn downs.
