G35 convertible

Does anyone have any clue as to Infiniti's plan to come out with a convertible?? I wrote to Infiniti asking this very same question but have not heard from them yet. I have searched every angle of the net, but found nothing.

On the same subject, the G35 cousin, 350z just released thier photos of this beauty topless, with electric roof and rear glass window. I have attached the picture to show you that if Nissan can make the 350z look this good without a top, imagine the G35...

Re: G35 convertible

I bought my Miata because it's a rag top but you know what?I constantly worry about my top getting slashed, very expensive repair and after driving topless for 2 hours the wind buffeting your head is annoying.I bought a hardtop for it and really like the coupe feeling and I can park anywhere without worry. No convertible for me .

Re: G35 convertible

Saw a post somewhere that "they had heard" there was going to be one. But they gave no source or other basis on which to believe it would come to be. Given the continued rising popularity of 'drop tops', I wouldn't be at all surprised. The existance of the 350Z says they've already done the work to stiffen up the chassis to allow it! It will also give them a chance to stick another $7-10k on to the price and make more bucks.

Re: G35 convertible

well the 350's chassis is a bit different than the coupe's because its a hatchback while the coupe is, a true coupe and therefore stiffer, so they'd have to redesign the coupe alot more than they had to redesign the Z to accomplish the convertible task..... i gues we will wait and see
not sure if there has ever been a convertible skyline in japan... but the Z had T-tops so thats probably why they jumped on the convertible right away

Is that a real picture of the 350Z or a photo-shop?

Oh man, I hate this subject (I want one!). I'm lovin that Z (He stated its newly released Nissan Photos), a hardtop convertible G would just be unbearably beautiful!

Re: G35 convertible

I just picked up my car two weeks ago and asked the manager about any changes for next year- he mentioned he just got out of a meeting and there will be no convertible going into production.

Re: G35 convertible

That's sad that there are no plans for a convertible model. I think the car would look gorgeous and even more sporty and sexy with the top off. Perfect example is the CLK from Mercedes or the BMW, they look good in convertible form. In fact, now that I think of it, I remember seeing a photoshop of G35 coupe without the top, anyone have that pic handy for posting here??

And yes, that is actually the real 350z roadster model, set to be released and made available for this summer.

Re: G35 convertible

Eh, I like the hardtop better. But I definitely like the coupe better. It's not bad for a car going from hardtop to convertible though.

Re: G35 convertible

News is that Nissan will officially debut two new convertibles at the NY auto show.
The 350z is one of them
the only other logical one is the G35 coupe.
