$1000 to spend

ok i got a grand to spend i wanna do as much performance upgrading as i can i can get every thing whole sale cause a cousin of mine has a wholesale license so i was thinking about doing some exhaust i don't know witch is the best one to get i was looking at the greedy one and borla im really not in to having a huge rice exhaust and the price difference between greedy and borla is alot and i really don't know the difference in HP gains in the two and if there is only like 1-3 HP difference then i can save a couple hundred bucks and i wanted to lower my car i was thinking to go with eibach and TEIN S-Tech Springs and i also wanted to paint my break calipers red i know that's not a performance upgrade but i still like the look i already have 20's so if every one can help me out and give me some good advice i would aprechiate it thx

Sounds like fun.
First take time to plan out what you want and why from your car, so you do not wind up undoing things previously done. Do not rush.
Second, if you want performance on the motor, this is addressed rather well on other forums too, but for a grand the z tube and JWT popcharger for the intake, the Random Technology High Flow cats on the exhaust will possibly give the best hp gains for the buck as a first step. Then maybe the Unorthodox Racing crank pulley. I would do all of those before the catback exhaust mod for the biggest bang for the buck on hp initially. You will get some good hp gain and the sound will be sweet indeed. All of that, not including the catback of course, is less than a grand that you have budgeted for.

You have 20" wheels already. That is an aesthetic performance mod, not a mechanical one. (If you were going to race you would probably stay 18" or even go down to 17" because of wheel weight and tire sidewall height and stiffness issues). Therefore, you face a performance upgrade problem on your suspension, as lowering the car on top of 20"s is problematic. Check into it carefully before you pop for a spring kit.

You could get stiffer sway bars to improve your handling, such as from Nismo,Cusco or Stillen, but if you really want to lower the car and do springs or eventually a coilover mod.......you might have to consider going back to 19" wheels.

Depending on the rim widths of the wheels you have, you could also consider beefier tires, such as 245 in front and 275 in the rear to give you some more grip, and indeed you may have already done that. You are probably running 30 aspect ratio tires with 20"s.......which is not really a performance cornering set up. Looks really neat for some folks, and that is fine...but potholes and curbs are your mortal enemies!!!
Have fun.

Cpe 6MT/Aero/Prem/ATI/RT cats/Borla hdrs-catbcks/Nismo flywhl-cltch/TS-ECU/Tein flex EDFC/Stillen sways
