Just something ive noticed, With this car its all about perspective. I think the G has a nice interior, My old ride was a 2000 Accord coupe EX 5mt, and the G's interior is much nicer. Perhaps if i had a Lexus background or if i had a Mercedes in my stable i wouldnt think the G's interior was all that nice. It all depends on what your familiar with. Thats IMO.

Yes, but it looks like a Nissan interior, not an Infiniti interior some expect it to be. I would be happier if the G35 interior is up to the standard of the FX, sporty but upscale. I'll be willing to pay a little more too.

I agree. I've been to the dealership a dozen times since I've ordered my car, and everytime I go, I sit in the coupe for at least 15-20 minutes. I think the interior is awesome! I'm certainly not going to go and compare it to a car that costs $20K more. If I had any gripes, it would be that it's too snug...but I'm a big guy and that's my choice...not Infiniti's.

I'm coming from a 2001 5-series BMW interior and I must say I really like the G -coupe interior even better. It is sportier and remains luxurious. I miss a few of the convenience options, but in terms of looks, it is a winner!

 

Yes the G interior could be better. And I agree, if you are coming from a Lexus or BMW, etc. the G interior is inferior. If Infiniti is trying to position itself as a luxury brand, they do need to improve the interior. I just had an FX as a loaner and while it had alot more convenience features than the G, I don't think the quality of the materials was any better (although the silver console in the FX seemed to have a better finish).
The G could use better materials & some of the convenience features - at a minimum the full power seats & memory. But then some of these other cars don't come with performance items like LSD and Pilot Sport tires!

 

I came from a Chrylser 300M which was a $32k car. Now that's a cheap looking interior! I really like the G's.

GREAT car, but the interior is fit for a Pontiac Grand Prix, not GM's premier sports car.

Having owned a C5 and now the G35 coupe, the interior of the Corvette was nice, but the G35's is a "little" better in terms of quality. I would venture to guess the C6 interior is far better.

Dude, you are comparing a 2003-2004 G with your 2000 accord, it would be a huge upgrade. In general, japanese cars have better interior than the europeans. But if you compare a 2003-2004 G with a 2004 TL's interior, that would be a different story. I would definitly take the TL's interior.

 

You guys are right about the Corvette C5. Interior is by rubbermaid.I do miss the heads up display though.

You dont get what im saying. Its all about perspective. I'm not comparing the two interiors. If you come from a 20,000$ car and see the coupe interior youl think its nice . But if you come from a 50,000- 60,000 car you wont think it has a nice interior. And if the G happens to be your first car, its going to be the standard by which all your future cars will be measured, and the G sets the bar pretty high.

When i first looked at the coupes interior, i thought it was cheap and ugly but now i think it looks really nice..i guess it just grew on me. I think infiniti should try to make it a little better though

G does have a nice interior, but after seeing enouf of the new cars in its class or even the new TL for less money, G's interior is not that outstanding. But don't get me wrong, I am not vouching for Honda here, my G35C is coming in 3 weeks, I have a 03 Acura CL-S, they are all nice cars, but G's interior isn't as impressive as you described. for me at least.
